Dear Constituents,

Thank you for taking the time to offer your input regarding the Owosso water and sewer improvement project. 

As you are probably well aware, the price tag to fix Owosso’s aging infrastructure exceeds an amount over $200 million dollars. I continue to work hard to get state funding to help relieve the increase facing ratepayers, but Owosso is similar to many other aging municipalities in Michigan facing the same issues so there is definitely intense competition for funding. 

My office has also been working closely with Rep. Tom Barrett’s office to explore possible avenues for federal funding and assistance. I welcome your comments about this situation, or any other matter, and encourage you to offer input and suggestions to help alleviate this impending financial burden on ratepayers.
